Celebrating the holidays in 2020 will look different than most seasons as we all work to reduce the spread of illness and increase the spread of cheer, gratitude and good health. The CDC is offering considerations to protect individuals and their families, friends and communities for fall and winter holiday celebrations to lower risk. If you are planning a holiday gathering, consider these factors from the CDC together and individually:

Community levels of COVID-19 at the gathering location as well as where attendees are coming from.
Location of the gathering. Outdoor gatherings pose less risk than indoor.
The size of group as more people pose more risk.
Behaviors of attendees. Adhering to social distancing, such as mask wearing and hand washing before and during the gathering pose less risk than where fewer preventive measure are being implemented.
